What size cake do I need?
The question we are asked more than any other. Tell us who is coming and we will show you the size — then see what fillings and toppers add.

Cakes are sold by the pound. As a rule of thumb, a pound feeds four to five people — a little more if you are cutting thin slices after a meal, a little less if the cake is the main event.
Servings are a guide, not a promise — how you cut it matters as much as the size. The final weight changes with the flavour, the filling and the frosting you choose — a ganache-covered cake is heavier than the same cake in fresh cream. Fondant toppers and decoration pieces are not counted in the weight above.

Cake size questions
How many people does a 1 pound cake feed?
A 1 pound cake (about 455 g) feeds 4 to 5 people — a little more in thin slices after a meal, a little less if the cake is the main event.
How many pounds is a 300 gram cake?
About two-thirds of a pound. A 250–300 g cake is our bento size, which feeds 2 to 3 people.
Is a 450 gram cake the same as 1 pound?
Very nearly — a pound is about 455 g, so a 450 g cake is a 1 pound cake. It feeds 4 to 5 people.
What size cake do I need for 10 people?
A 2 pound cake (about 910 g) feeds 8 to 10 people. If the cake is the main event, go up to 3 pounds.
What size cake do I need for 20 people?
About 4 pounds (around 1.8 kg), which feeds 16 to 20 people.
What size cake do I need for 30 people?
A 6 to 7 pound cake (about 2.7–3.2 kg) feeds around 30 people. Cakes this size need a week's notice.
What would you add?
Fillings and toppers are added to the price of the cake. Fillings are not available on golden crumb cakes, brownies or cookies.
